God is in the painted sunrise
He is in the rolling hills
He is on the edge of our minds,
and He’s ever waiting there still.
God has provided for the sparrows,
He dressed the lilies in the field-
so when you’re on the straight and narrow
let him be your sword and shield.
You cannot feel a sorrow
that God cannot lift up;
you can’t thirst for tomorrow
when it’s God that fills your cup.
Next time you hear the warning bell,
don’t blame it on the wind.
If you really want to know God well,
open up and let Him in.
Wrote this on the way back from a party.
I like writing poetry. Not all of it is going to be a historical epic or an ode to something. These are like little glimpses of the subway in my mind; my train of thought isn't always artsy or symbolic or deep or meaningful, but I like to think that art takes ordinary things and makes people see a sort of beauty in them. So, look around- I've been doing this for a while. Enjoy ♥
