I woke up one morning to find
a note that I don't remember writing.
"Just bring me back",
it said.
So I will save
it for the day
when someone takes
my heart away.
Then I will say
to them, "Behave,
and
Just bring me back."
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and write things that make no sense. Except this time it kind of did make sense, so I wrote about it.
I like writing poetry. Not all of it is going to be a historical epic or an ode to something. These are like little glimpses of the subway in my mind; my train of thought isn't always artsy or symbolic or deep or meaningful, but I like to think that art takes ordinary things and makes people see a sort of beauty in them. So, look around- I've been doing this for a while. Enjoy ♥
